Construction Contract Change Order #1 for Bishop Community Center

Discuss and consider the execution of Construction Contract Change Order No. 1 with A. Ortiz Construction & Paving, Inc. regarding changes to existing concrete sidewalk at rear exits of the Bishop Community Center; which do not meet ADA requirements.
On February 1, 2017, the Commissioners Court executed an agreement between A. Ortiz Construction & Paving, Inc. and the County for approximately 3,908 square feet of concrete walking trail, three (3) concrete exercise stations, cross walk striping and a timber pavilion with concrete foundation and four (4) timber benches. The approved construction contract for A. Ortiz Construction was in the amount of $113,782.00 and for 30 calendar days. Adjusted contract amount will be $124,927.00 and an additional 30 days added. This change order (added amount of $11,145.00) will be paid out of Bishop Community Center ADA Improvements, Project Code 19212010.
