CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT ELECTION

Discuss and consider approving the following for the upcoming November 5, 2013 Nueces County Constitutional Amendment Election:
a. Early Voting Substations
b. Mobile Calendar
c. Election Day Polling Places
The Governor has called a Constitutional Amendment Election to be held on November 5, 2013. Also joining Nueces County in this election will be the City of Corpus Christi, and London Independent School District.
Early voting will be held for a two-week period beginning Monday, October 21, 2013 and continuing through Friday, November 1, 2013. The days and hours of operation are:
Oct. 21 - 26 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Oct. 27 12:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Oct. 28 - 30 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Oct. 31-Nov. 1 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
Pursuant to Section 85.0005 of the Texas Election Code, voting for a 12-hour period is only required for the last two days of the early voting period in a special election ordered by the Governor.
Three early voting sites have changed locations from the last election, and five election day polling places have changed as well.
