RECOMMENDATION
Discuss and consider execution of Amendment No. 1 to the Reformation of the Cooperative Agreement to Operate a Public Health District.
BACKGROUND
In April of 2009, the City of Corpus Christi and Nueces County Commissioners Court approved the reformation of the Cooperative Agreement to operate a Public Health District.  The City of Corpus Christi adopted a new compensation plan for City employees on August 1, 2013.  Section A.3 of Attachment "B" provides that changes to the pay plan or Health District pay adjustments shall be modified by mutual written agreement.  In order to maintain consistency in employee compensation, it is recommended to approve this Amendment No. 1.
DISCUSSION
In fiscal year 2013-2014, the salary of each Health District employee will be increased by 2.5% on the first full pay period following the anniversary date of their current position, if the employee meets the criteria in Attachment "3" of the agreement.
