RECOMMENDATION
Approve execution of Amendment No. 1 with L&H Kircher Farms for RFP No. 2861-10 Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds Farm Lease.
BACKGROUND
Nueces County wishes to lease the 267 acres that is located adjacent to the Richard M. Borchard Regional Fairgrounds, in Robstown, Texas. The term of the lease is for four (4) years with an option to extend for one (1) additional year. County must receive written notice of lessee’s intent to extend six (6) months prior to end of original term.
DISCUSSION
The amendment 1 is to extend the contract for one additional year and reduce the number of acres.  The number of acres has been reduced from 267  to 229.58.  The 37.42 acres no longer part of the farm land will be used on another project to store dirt.  No funds are required for this project.
