Cancellation of Architectural Services Contract with Turner, Ramirez & Associates, Inc.

Discuss and consider cancellation of an Architectural Services Contract with Turner, Ramirez & Associates, Inc., dated June 21, 2016, and modified by Supplemental Agreement No. 1, dated November 1, 2017, for the replacement and/or modification of the existing emergency generators at the McKinzie Jail Annex.
Subsequent to the initial contract and Supplemental Agreement the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) awarded Nueces County a grant to install a new emergency generator. The TDEM grant requires the selection of the Architect or Engineer to be done through a Request for Qualification or Request for Proposals.
Article 20-Termination of the current provides for termination of the contract, "By mutual agreement and consent, in writing, of both parties".
