Authorize an agreement with Largin Construction Services for IFB 3030-17 Renovations to the existing Bishop Fire Station.
Scope of work for the Base Bid consists of: renovation of the existing Fire Station building and portions of the site. The existing exterior garage doors and some existing windows are to be removed and replaced with solid walls. The interior will receive a new office, restrooms, janitor closet and open meeting space with new ceramic tile flooring, sealed concrete flooring, ceilings and lighting. Scope of work for the Alternate Base Bid No. 1 to include Base Bid work as defined in plans & specifications, with exception to the following: Assembly #101 & Office #102: Substitute concrete floor sealer with vinyl tile flooring as specified in Section 09 65 19.23 “Vinyl Tile Flooring”. Scope of work for the Alternate Base Bid No. 2 to include Base Bid work as defined in plans & specifications, with exception to the following: Assembly #101 & Office #102: Score concrete floor & apply stain, prior to application of sealer, as specified in Section 03 35 00 “Concrete Finishing”. Scoring to be 1/8” wide & spaced 48” apart to create 48” x 48” tiles. Additive Bid No. 1 consists of: removing approximately 1,320 square feet of existing concrete paving and replace with new reinforced concrete paving. Paint parking stripes. Install concrete wheel stops and handicapped parking signage. Remove existing ramp hand railing and concrete ramp up to existing ramp landing. Replace with new concrete ramp and hand railing.
Project is to be paid from Project No. 19195001 Bishop Fire Station Renovations.
