4. A. 3.
Commissioners Court - Regular
Amendment - Odyssey Case Management Implementation Plan
Lance Murphy, Information Technology
Discuss and consider approval of the June 2016 amendment to the Odyssey implementation project for the criminal case management system and authorize the County Judge to execute the contract upon approval by the County Attorney's Office.
Nueces County entered into an agreement with the Texas Conference of Urban Counties and Tyler Technologies in 2007 to implement the Odyssey case management system for civil, justice courts, criminal, and prosecutor. The project funding was allocated from the 2007 Certificates of Obligation which had been approved for information technology projects. Currently, the civil, probate, mental health, and justice courts have been completed and are using the Odyssey system. The criminal system is the last part of the project, and will include criminal case processing, prosecutor, and jail interface. This will also complete the transition of the old systems from the Hewlett-Packard HP 3000 system.
This amendment is to provide additional funds to complete the implementation of the case management project. The increase in cost is associated with the exceedingly complex conversion process. This amendment also changes "Go-Live" to begin between Oct. 3, 2016 and Oct. 5, 2016 allowing more time to review conversion results and schedule training.
