Approve execution of an agreement with TBC Commercial Construction, LLC. for IFB No. 3004-15 Padre Balli Park Improvements, Phase I.
BACKGROUND
Padre Balli Park Improvements, Phase I is the initial phase of a re-development of RV and tent camping sites on 16.7 acres at Padre Balli Park on Padre Island. The scope of the project consists of the development of 45 RV pads, 22 tent camping sites and restroom/laundry facility. To include but not limited to: site clearing and grading, installation of private gravity sanitary sewer pipe and appurtenances, installation of storm sewer pipe and outfall structures, installation of private water pipe and appurtenances, paving, architectural building, landscape planting, landscape irrigation, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installation and all other incidentals in accordance with the drawings and specifications, complete and in place. The Base Bid includes: 45 RV Pads (all RV sites), roads, pedestrian paths, grading, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water lines, concrete parking adjacent to restroom/laundry facility, tie-in to existing lift station, proposed pond 1 and 2, parking queue area, landscaping, irrigation, removal, hauling and disposal of asphalt and cement stabilized base material within existing tent camping area; to include all labor, services, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to the full and final completion of the project, and everything incidental required to prepare, install and warrant the bid items in accordance with the drawings and specifications, complete and in place. Additive #1: includes 22 dual tent camping sites, pedestrian paths, boardwalks, water connections; including all labor, services, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to the full and final completion of the Project, and everything incidental required to prepare, install and warrant the bid items in accordance with the drawings and specifications, complete and in place. Additive #2: includes restroom/laundry facility and adjacent concrete sidewalk; including all labor, services, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to the full and final completion of the Project, and everything incidental required to prepare, install and warrant the bid items in accordance with the drawings and specifications, complete and in place.
DISCUSSION
Commissioners Court award the project to TBC Commercial Constructions, LLC. on February 5, 2015 for the Base Bid and Additives 1 and 2 in the amount of $2,585,550.
