Commissioners Court - Regular
Amendment to Odyssey Implementation Project
Mike Biddle, Information Technology
Discuss and consider approval of an amendment to the Odyssey implementation project for the criminal case management system.
Nueces County entered into an agreement with the Texas Conference of Urban Counties and Tyler Technologies in 2007 to implement the Odyssey case management system for civil, justice courts, criminal, and prosecutor. The project funding was allocated from the 2007 Certificates of Obligation which had been approved for information technology projects. Currently, the civil, probate, mental health, and justice courts have been completed and are using the Odyssey system. The criminal system is the last part of the project, and will include criminal case processing, prosecutor, and jail interface. This will also complete the transition of the old systems from the Hewlett-Packard HP 3000 system.
The implementation of the criminal system will complete the implementation of the case management project. The estimated cost to complete the project is $585,155 of which $302,000 is currently encumbered, and an additional $283,156 is required to complete the implementation.
The amendment is to approve the allocation of the additional $283,156 to complete the project, and these funds are available within the original project plan that was prepared in 2007.
