Monica Reyes, Grants Department
Discuss and consider the acceptance of Amendment No. 1 to Grant No. F13AF00017 from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for the Grants Administration Support Project, part of the Coastal Impact Assistance Program (CIAP) grant program.
The Coastal Impact Assistance Program (CIAP) is intended to assist coastal states and coastal political subdivisions within those states that have either supported or been impacted in some measure, directly or indirectly, from Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) oil and gas exploration and development activities.
On November 28, 2012, the Commissioners Court accepted Grant No. F13AF00017 from U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service for the Grants Administration Support Project, part of the Coastal Impact Assistance Program (CIAP) grant program.
The purpose of the grant was to reimburse the County for the significant amount of resources and staff time that was dedicated to project planning, coordination, and writing grants for the Nueces County section of the state plan.
The total amount of the grant award is $37,476.03 and there is no match required. This project was included as part of the 2008 CIAP grant allocation projects. The grant period for the initial award ran from October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013.
Amendment No. 1 allows the County additional time to accurately report all expenses and extend the grant period to September 30, 2014.
