Discuss and consider the approval of Change Order No. 9 to the Bay, Ltd contract for the CR 52 and CR 69 Improvements project from FM 624 to US 77.
Through an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement, dated February 2, 2010, Nueces County and the City of Corpus Christi agreed to jointly fund a construction project to widen a portion of County Road 52. The construction contract was awarded to Bay, Ltd.
This change order allows for the addition of several items of work that were deemed necessary for the proper construction of the project. The additions entail crack sealing the asphalt surface of CR 52, placing rock riprap along the north right-of-way of CR 52 to minimize stormwater damage to the ditch slope, seeding of all topsoil to prevent soil erosion, adjust an existing 6” waterline and provide trench protection, and seeding associated with soil disturbance during installation of an 18” reinforced concrete pipe for improved drainage. The items are detailed on attached Change Order No. 9.
