RECOMMENDATION
Discuss and consider the request that the Nueces County Commissioners Court authorize the creation of four part-time (20-25 hours each) Intermediate Clerk positions by deleting one full-time Intermediate Clerk (Pay Group 11) and one Senior Clerk II (Pay Group 15) in the Tax Assessor/Collector Motor Vehicle department.
BACKGROUND
There will be no interruption in employment for any of the existing employees. The department will wait for the positions to become vacant before any positions are deleted. There will also not be any reduction of hours for the existing employees.
DISCUSSION
There will be no fiscal impact on the creation of these new positions and the deletion of the two existing positions. It is however, a cost savings from employee benefits and one of the positions being at a higher pay group.
