RECOMMENDATION
Discuss and consider reclassification of two Environmental Enforcement Officer positions from Pay Group 19 to Pay Group 20.
BACKGROUND
There are two Environmental Enforcement Officers; one officer is Pay Group 19, step 1 ($30,566.12), and one officer is Pay Group 19 step 3 ($32,064.24).  This reclassification would result in one officer at Pay Group 20, step 1 ($32,064.24) and one officer at Pay Group 20, step 3 ($33,651.80).

The proposed reclassification will bring the two positions in line with other Deputy Constables, as well as recognize the specialized training the officers take concerning the Texas Litter Abatement Act, the Texas Water Code, and the Texas Health and Safety Code.
