RECOMMENDATION
Discuss and consider approval of Change Order No. 6 for the reconstruction of County Road 52, from County Road 69 to U.S. Highway 77.
BACKGROUND
Through an Interlocal Cooperation Agreement, dated February 2, 2010, Nueces County and the City of Corpus Christi agreed to jointly fund a construction project to widen a portion of County Road 52. The construction contract was awarded to Bay, Inc. and is ongoing.
DISCUSSION
This change order allows for the addition and deletion of items of work that were deemed necessary for the proper construction of the project. The addition entails the installation of 256 linear feet of 18” reinforced concrete pipe for improved drainage. The deletion removes the final 2” hot mix surface course which will be placed at a later date by separate project. The items of work result in a net deduction of project costs. The items are detailed on attached Change Order No. 6.
